How to know if you need AC or HVAC repair in El Paso
You know you need AC repair when the unit is blowing hot air or no air. But a system can be in serious need of repair even when it is still blowing cold. These symptoms usually show up as warnings before a total breakdown:
- Weak airflow from the vents
- Ice forming on the cooling coil
- A foul or musty smell when the system runs
- High indoor humidity
- Short cycling, where the system turns on and off repeatedly
- Thermostat readings that do not match how the house feels
- Puddles of moisture around the indoor unit
- New or unusual noises
- A sudden spike in your electric bill
If you notice any of these, call us before the system fails completely. If the unit is not operating properly, turn it off and wait for professional help rather than running it and causing further damage.

Conversions ›Repair or replace?
We offer free comfort consultations for customers in El Paso and the surrounding areas. If your system only needs a repair, that is what we will tell you. Nobody at this company is paid to sell you a system you do not need.
When replacement genuinely is the better call, it is usually because the repair cost is approaching the value of an aging unit, the system uses a refrigerant that is being phased out, or the house has outgrown the equipment. We will walk you through the reasoning before you decide anything.
How regular maintenance prevents breakdowns
Most breakdowns we are called out to were preventable. A tune-up finds the worn capacitor or the low charge before it strands you. A well-maintained air conditioner also runs more efficiently than a neglected one, and it is far less likely to fail in the middle of July.
Our maintenance club covers semi-annual tune-ups on refrigerated and evaporative systems. See what a maintenance plan includes.

AC repair questions we get asked
Why is my AC running but not cooling the house?
The most common causes are a low refrigerant charge from a leak, a dirty or iced-over evaporator coil, a failed capacitor, or a blocked filter choking the airflow. Several of these look identical from inside the house, which is why the fault needs to be measured rather than guessed. Turn the system off if it is icing over and call us.
How long does an AC repair take?
Most common repairs are completed in a single visit. Jobs that need a part we do not carry on the truck may need a second visit, and we will tell you that on the first one rather than leaving you wondering.
Do you repair air conditioners you did not install?
Yes. We repair every make and model regardless of who installed it or where it came from.
Should I repair or replace an air conditioner that keeps breaking?
It depends on the age of the unit, what the repair costs against the value of the system, and whether it uses a refrigerant being phased out. We give free comfort consultations in El Paso and will tell you plainly if a repair is the better call.
What are your AC repair service hours?
Call (915) 751-9803 Monday to Friday, 7am to 5pm Mountain Time. We are closed on weekends and do not offer emergency or after-hours service.
